I Need Help

So for the past year I've been trying to design a business card for myself. But seeing how indecisive I am I can't seem to decide on one so im asking you for some help. I would greatly appreciate your vote on your favorite business card idea.

Sarah Yates

One of the only benefits for going to the Art Institute is how tremendously fabulous all the teachers are. Oh…wait, I lied, most of them are lacking. But that’s beside the point. One of my favorite “professors” was a miss Sarah Yates. She is my photography teacher (who woulda’ thought?). She makes A.i. so much more enjoyable, I actually feel like I’m learning, and she is real. You can talk to her about everything and I can guarantee she will have a funny story to go right along with it. Something to do with meat on a stick or California Burritos…speaking of burritos I do believe she owes me one. Along with Sarah you acquire her incredible dog Ruca Bean Yates. Below here are some of her photography and where you can see her work (which is amazing).

Ocean Beach "The Sunset Cliffs"

Today me and my roommate really wanted to do something. We have been sitting on our asses doing nothing for the past three days. Lets just say we are big fans of eating and napping. We grab shelley's boyfriend, Brian and our buddy Michael. We head down to the Sunset Cliffs in O.B. They were ahshum! they have trails you can take all the way to the beach by rope of course! Yeah sketchy! but anyway we ended up going a little bit farther down and came across a bum and ran for our lives the other way. It was a good day.

My Friends

Friendship isn't always easily described. The Eskimos, they say, have a hundred different words for snow. Unfortunately, the English language isn't quite as innovative, though it has vast opportunities to differentiate meaning. Certainly, Love is one of those opportunities. And so, too, is Friendship.

Instead of different words, however, we're stuck with simple adjectives. Close friend. Best friend. Childhood friend. Intimate friend. Trusted friend. Beloved friend. But whether you use adjectives or different words, few could deny the nearly infinite meaning in such a simple word.

Friends are special people. We can't pick our family, and we're sorely limited in the number of them at any rate. Society and mores (and often our own conscience) dictate we select a single mate. But our friends can be as diverse and infinite as the adjectives we choose. Our friends, in a very real sense, reflect the choices we make in life.

My Baby Girl

I LOVE MY DOG! but unfortunately i don't live with her anymore. He name is Kona and she adores me as I adore her. She is a chocolate lab mixed with what I think german sheppard. She use to be really stupid, im not kidding she didnt understand the concept of playing fetch and didnt know how to swim. Im not writing to diss on her but to say how much i love her. I think she only has a couple more years with us. She promised me to live forever but im not thinking realistically. We lost her sister my freshman year in high school and I devastated I don't think I can handle that again.

Fashion Shoot 2008

For a class project at my school we were asked to team up with the fashion students. Im sorry but they are notorious for being bitches. Fortunately I'm really good friends with my photography teacher and she set me up with a the perfect student.

My partner, Lindsay Beverly had the best ideas for the photo shoot and it couldn't of gone smoother. We went with the theme of girls who don't want to grow up. I think it turned out pretty well, and as a photographer it was my first time using natural and studio light outside. It was quite a challenge but a lot of fun.

Michael Brionus

There is nothing better than being motivated visually and intellectually. A good friend of mine, Michael Brionus, is also a painter. He is in the works of becoming a graphic designer and too shares my passion of music. Almost all of his art I end up begging him to have it. He did one of my favorites that I have right now that is a portrait of Woody Allen. Its a charcoal 16 x 20 and it took him no time. I am currently trying to coerce him into a John Mayer or a Andy Warhol. But you will be the first to know if I get it. He is mostly known for his pop art style with a hint of detail. Below is one of his newest pieces that he did of Scarlet Johansson. He is definitely worth checking out. You can find him on his myspace at Day to Day designs.
